₹500 premiere, zero public memo
Multiple reports say Telangana permitted a ₹500 special show for Nani’s The Paradise. The High Court has questioned the timing, reasons and disclosure.

Nani’s The Paradise has reportedly secured a ₹500 special premiere in Telangana on September 23 at 6.30 p.m., inclusive of GST. Multiple reports also say ticket prices were permitted to rise through October 3, with different additional charges for single screens and multiplexes.
The catch is the document. The reported approval is attributed to Telangana Home Department Memo No. 21/HOME-GEN2/2026, dated September 20, but the memo was not available on an accessible government portal for independent checking. A ₹500 ticket is therefore a reported permission, not a publicly verified government order.
The Telangana High Court has questioned the last-minute decision, saying the memo did not specify reasons for the enhancement and may have breached earlier directions on advance disclosure. The government was reportedly given time to file its response. The court has not been shown here to have stayed or withdrawn the permission.
The reported welfare contribution is also unclear: some reports say ₹1 lakh, others ₹1 crore. Until the memo appears, even the charity has two price tags.
