At least 84 houses and shops were demolished in Maddur, in Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s Kodangal Assembly constituency, during a road-widening operation on the Maddur–Chintaldinne road, according to multiple reports. Residents and BRS leader T. Harish Rao alleged that the demolitions took place without adequate notice or compensation.
