Assembly opens Monday; agenda still buffering

The Telangana Assembly and Legislative Council are scheduled to begin their monsoon session on Monday, September 7. The final number of sitting days and the full legislative agenda are still not publicly confirmed. The legislature’s NeVA portal says “House Not In Session”, carries a March 25, 2026 update and shows no session-specific business list. Parliamentary certainty, it appears, is still in transit.
The BRS has released a chargesheet against the Congress government and announced a statewide campaign from September 2 to 8. K. T. Rama Rao alleged incomplete farm-loan waivers, unpaid fee-reimbursement dues, pending jobs and welfare commitments, and failures on irrigation and land issues. “The Congress promised heaven within 100 days, but delivered hell for the last 1,000 days,” he said. These remain political allegations, not independently established findings.
The Congress government is expected to defend its record on loan waivers, housing, recruitment and other schemes, while Congress leaders have questioned K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s Assembly attendance. The government has previously said its farm-loan waiver covered loans up to Rs 2 lakh; its 2024 Independence Day material reported 6.40 lakh beneficiaries in the second phase and a target of 4.50 lakh Indiramma houses.
