Maheshwar Reddy alleged a “lakhs of crores” scam, including an alleged ₹15,000 crore transfer to benami companies linked to Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. He also repeated an alleged ₹200 crore monthly payment to New Delhi. The actual public record is less theatrical but more useful. Telangana’s Bhu Bharati portal provides a prohibited-land search and a grievance process, including correction where an entire survey number was marked acquired although only part was. Ponguleti has said eligible owners need not fear and that errors can be corrected. The government has not published a statewide count of affected properties, acreage, complaints or corrections. The BJP wants a white paper. It has not yet supplied the land list behind its own numbers.
