BRS hits reset. Congress snoozes.
KTR sets up a booth-to-state rebuild, digital membership and cadre training. The BJP gets no alliance, the Congress gets no answers, and 2028 suddenly looks less like a coronation and more like homework.
The rebuild is scheduled from booth level upward; the governing party’s answer remains pending.
BRS has kicked off a ground-up rebuild — dissolving committees below the State unit and starting over from the booth up — alongside a digital membership drive and structured cadre training. According to reporting of the April 27 state executive decision, new committees will be formed in phases across booth, village, mandal, constituency and district levels. KCR followed up with a six-hour meeting at Erravelli to finalise district in-charges and the digital push. The plan: enrol members digitally across Telangana, appoint membership coordinators in every Assembly constituency, and train two workers at each of the state’s 35,655 polling stations — 71,310 workers in all, a figure attributed to a BRS press note in multiple reports. Palair has already seen a camp with booth representatives and digital in-charges — a small but real start.
KTR took it public on 3 June, saying the membership drive would roll out this month, committees would be constituted from booth to State level, and cadre training would be extensive. He also ruled out a tie-up with the BJP — which leaves the BJP to keep shouting “family rule” from the sidelines while the family it complains about is busy building a voter file.
On the scoreboard talk, KTR said if elections were held now, BRS would win over 90 seats. That’s a projection, not an audit — judge it by whether the promised committees and training show up at your booth.
Meanwhile the Congress government in Telangana — the one meant to be governing — has not bothered to answer the basic part: if its “disaster” tag is wrong, where is the delivery to prove it? The homework is due at 35,655 polling stations, not at a press podium.
