BRS prepares voters; election schedule still loading
KTR and Harish Rao led a Telangana Bhavan meeting on graduate MLC polls, while the CEO is yet to clarify a registration timing clash.
The reported registration deadline comes before the final electoral roll is scheduled for publication.
The BRS has told its leaders to help graduates enrol as voters ahead of the forthcoming Legislative Council elections, with the Mahbubnagar–Rangareddy–Hyderabad constituency getting first attention. K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao led a September 22 meeting at Telangana Bhavan, attended by senior party leaders and former ministers.
The party also asked the Chief Electoral Officer, C. Sudarshan Reddy, to clarify an apparent timing problem: Form-18 applications are reportedly due by November 6, while the final Special Intensive Revision roll is scheduled for November 9. The BRS wants to know how applicants are expected to provide electoral-roll details before that roll exists. Administration, apparently, is now a race against its own calendar.
The reported schedule puts November 1 as the qualifying date, November 20 for preparation of draft rolls and November 25 for publication. These dates come from a reported CEO press note, not the underlying document. The election notification and polling date have not been formally established in the material reviewed.
KTR’s claim that graduates, employees and unemployed youth are disillusioned with the Congress government remains a BRS assessment, not independent polling evidence. The CEO has not publicly answered the party’s representation in the reports reviewed.
