BRS starts early; Form 18 gets six days

The BRS has begun organisational preparations for Telangana’s two Graduate MLC elections, with working president K.T. Rama Rao holding meetings and directing leaders to prioritise voter enrolment. The seats are the Mahabubnagar–Rangareddy–Hyderabad and Warangal–Khammam–Nalgonda constituencies, which are due to fall vacant in March 2027.
KTR held a meeting at Telangana Bhavan on September 22 with leaders from the erstwhile Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Mahabubnagar districts. Reports said a separate meeting with leaders from Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda followed on September 26. BRS MLCs L. Ramana and Dr Dasoju Sravan Kumar, along with former MLC Karne Prabhakar, also sought clarity from Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharsan Reddy on the roll-revision timetable.
The reported schedule lists November 1, 2026 as the qualifying date and November 6 as the deadline for Form-18 applications. The final Special Intensive Revision roll is reportedly due on November 9. Six days between applications and the final roll is apparently the timetable’s contribution to election preparation. The official poll date and BRS candidates have not been announced.
