BRS starts enrolment drive before 2027 MLC polls
KTR calls voter registration the priority as Telangana prepares fresh rolls for two Graduates’ constituencies. The forecast is political; the Form-18 deadline is not.

The BRS has begun organising graduate voter registration ahead of Telangana’s two Graduates’ MLC elections due in March 2027, with K. T. Rama Rao urging leaders to enrol eligible graduates and family members.
At constituency-wise meetings in Hyderabad on September 28, KTR said the party had a “favourable environment to retain the sitting seat” in the Mahabubnagar–Rangareddy–Hyderabad constituency. BRS leaders from Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda also expressed confidence about the other contest. Those are party assessments, not polling results; no independent forecast has been reported.
The Election Commission has begun preparing fresh rolls. November 1, 2026 is the qualifying date and November 6 the reported deadline for Form-18 applications. Official guidance says applicants must generally have held a degree for at least three years before the qualifying date. The Telangana government lists Surabhi Vani Devi as the current BRS MLC in the first constituency and Teenmaar Mallanna as the Congress MLC in the second.
The Congress and BJP have yet to publicly answer KTR’s claims about voter sentiment. For now, the BRS has supplied the mobilisation plan; the rest is still campaign weather.
