The BRS has begun preparing for the Hyderabad–Rangareddy–Mahabubnagar Graduates’ MLC election with the least glamorous weapon in politics: voter registration forms.
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao met party leaders from Hyderabad, erstwhile Rangareddy and Mahabubnagar at Telangana Bhavan on September 28. He asked them to ensure that eligible graduates — including party leaders’ family members — enrol as voters and called for coordinated campaign preparations, according to two reports on the meeting.
KTR also expressed confidence that the BRS would retain the seat, referring to the party’s previous victory with Surabhi Vani Devi as its candidate. He attributed that result to coordinated organisational work. His claims that young voters are angry with the Congress and BJP, and that the BRS is in a favourable position, remain political assertions; no polling or independent voter-sentiment data is available in the material reviewed.
The voter-roll process is being prepared afresh, with November 1, 2026 reported as the qualifying date and November 6 as the last date for Form 18 applications.
