The Congress government in Telangana may have found 20 rallies for the road to the 2028 Assembly election. It has not, so far, found a public calendar for them.

NDTV reported on October 1 that unnamed sources said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had planned 20 mega rallies over the next 20 months, roughly one each month. The report provided no names of sources, dates, locations, formal Congress approval, budget or government order. No public Congress document confirming the schedule was located.

The Election Commission records the current Telangana Assembly’s term as running from December 9, 2023, to December 8, 2028. The Telangana government identifies Revanth Reddy as Chief Minister and has recorded his participation in public events, including a July 2026 candlelight rally in Hyderabad. That establishes political mobilisation. It does not establish 20 rallies.

NDTV also reported planned BRS protests and BJP organisational activity. Those details were not independently confirmed through party documents in the material reviewed. For now, the 20-rally plan remains an unnamed-source claim—with the calendar still apparently attending a different meeting.
