Congress finds Delhi, loses its decision
Consultations over possible action against Telangana minister Konda Surekha continued, but the high command had announced no final decision by September 3.

The Congress has taken its Telangana quarrel to Delhi, where even a decision now appears to need consultations about the consultations.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy reportedly met AICC general secretary K C Venugopal on September 1. On September 2, minister Konda Surekha met Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Venugopal, then publicly questioned the proposed action against her. She said she had not been asked to resign and asked why her conduct was being examined while Revanth Reddy’s was not.
The dispute follows remarks by Surekha’s daughter, Konda Sushmita Patel, about Revanth Reddy’s reported support for Parkal MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy for the 2028 Assembly election. Around 20 Congress MLAs reportedly sought Surekha’s removal on August 22. The Telangana Congress disciplinary committee reportedly recommended action against Surekha and Planning Board vice-chairman G Chinna Reddy on August 26.
No final decision on Surekha’s ministerial position had been announced by September 3. The Congress high command has deferred the matter. Revanth Reddy has not publicly answered Surekha’s demand that his conduct be examined too. The party that promised command now appears to be taking attendance in Delhi.
