The reported phrase was “chavu dappu” — funeral drums — at KCR’s Erravalli residence. One published transcript attributes to Shankar the words: “We want KCR’s death” and describes him as a “peeda” for Telangana. BRS workers burned Shankar’s effigy at Shadnagar crossroads, according to a report. BRS general secretary R. S. Praveen Kumar was also reported to have lodged a complaint at Banjara Hills police station, seeking action under Sections 351, 351(3), 196(1) and 61 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and demanding an apology from Chief Minister A.
