Congress ‘invisible hand’ meets high command
TPCC panel sends report on Minister Konda Surekha and Planning Board vice‑chair G. Chinna Reddy; multiple reports say it wants “strict” action, up to removal. The Congress high command will now do what it does best: keep Telangana waiting.

The Telangana Congress has turned a family squabble into a file. On August 25, TPCC disciplinary committee chair Mallu Ravi said he submitted a report on Endowments Minister Konda Surekha and Planning Board vice‑chair G. Chinna Reddy to state chief B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, after examining notices, replies and their media statements. According to the committee’s own account, the file is headed to Mallikarjun Kharge and K. C. Venugopal for a decision.
What’s in it? Multiple reports say the panel has recommended “strict” action. One account goes further: remove Surekha from the Cabinet and Chinna Reddy from the Planning Board. The document itself isn’t public, and no removal order exists on record. In Congress land, “recommended” is often where decisions go to retire.
The trigger was Konda Sushmitha’s August 19 broadside calling Parkal “Konda territory” and questioning the Chief Minister’s backing for sitting MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy. The party then asked the mother to explain the daughter. Surekha’s reply asked the committee to withdraw its notice and to act instead against the “invisible hand” she says is targeting her family — a claim she hasn’t backed with names.
Two points are firm and on the record: a report has been filed; “stringent” action was urged. The rest is Congress choreography — the state unit performs outrage, the Delhi high command keeps the final cut. Telangana has seen this movie: the BJP-led Centre slow‑walks our projects; the Congress runs the same script in‑house, just with a longer applause break for the high command.
