Congress post edits out CMO official
G. Malsur’s presence at a Congress communications meeting is documented. The larger training-camp claim is not.
The meeting was documented; the edit was not explained.
Telangana Chief Minister’s Chief Public Relations Officer G. Malsur was named in an initial post about a Congress communications meeting at Gandhi Bhavan on August 27. The post, by Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, said the discussion covered political issues, debate strategy, press meets and “fact-based content” for public communication. It was later replaced without Malsur’s name and photographs. The edit, unlike the meeting, was not explained publicly.
A Telangana government order dated June 12, 2025, appointed Malsur as CPRO to the Chief Minister on contract basis. A government-linked annual report identifies him as a former Group-I officer. BRS leaders have alleged that he conducted training for Congress media and social-media teams, but the material reviewed establishes only his presence and apparent participation in the communications meeting—not a formal training session, its authorisation or use of public resources.
The Telangana CMO, Malsur, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Kiran Kumar Reddy and the Telangana Congress have not publicly responded in the material reviewed. Congress has now managed to make a communications meeting communicate mainly through an edited photograph.
