The Congress government’s 100-day promise is approaching its 1,000-day sequel. BRS leader B. Vinod Kumar and the Bharat Rashtra Trade Union (BRTU) accused the Telangana government of failing to implement worker- and employee-related commitments at a BRTU state committee meeting in Hyderabad on August 29, according to the supplied report.
The BRTU said it would hold statewide protests from September 2 to 10, including petitions to district collectors and special conferences for auto workers. Congress had promised to implement every commitment in its 2023 manifesto, which includes pending DAs, salaries and pensions on the first day of each month, replacing CPS with OPS, a new PRC within six months, employee health cards and wage increases for field-level workers. The manifesto does not establish the “420-plus” count cited by BRS leaders.
The government’s documented 100-day commitment concerned the six guarantees, not every manifesto item. From December 7, 2023, to August 29, 2026, 996 days had elapsed; the 1,000-day mark falls around September 2–3.
