The Council announced the suspension; the alleged remarks remain unpublished.
The Telangana Legislative Council suspended BRS MLCs Tata Madhusudhan and N Naveen Kumar Reddy for the remainder of the ongoing session, after adopting a motion moved by Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu. Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy announced the action. [1][2]
The suspension followed a Telangana Assembly resolution over alleged derogatory and unparliamentary remarks about Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar during a confrontation near Assembly Gate No. 3 on September 7. The allegation remains an allegation: the exact words, a transcript, authenticated video, FIR and full resolutions have not been published in the material reviewed. [2][3]
Saifabad police arrested the two MLCs on September 8 in connection with a case arising from the complaint, while a Nampally court rejected the police remand plea. Madhusudhan had reportedly denied making derogatory comments. The Council has supplied the punishment; the public record has not yet supplied the missing sentence. [1][4]
