‘Criminal waste’? Prove it, Chief
Harish Rao says Revanth Reddy insulted engineering students. The BJP’s favourite CM in Hyderabad can clear it up in one minute — with the tape he hasn’t shown.
The alleged remark remains without a publicly produced recording or transcript.
BRS MLA T. Harish Rao on Thursday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of calling engineering students “criminal waste” and saying they cannot even fill out applications, and demanded a withdrawal and an apology. According to a report of his post on X, he called the remarks unfortunate and an insult to students and teachers, and said Revanth had failed in his role over education.
Those are Harish Rao’s allegations; the report does not carry a video, transcript, venue or date of where the Chief Minister supposedly said it. There is no on-record response from Revanth Reddy or his office yet.
If the Congress’s man in Telangana really said it, he can release the clip. If he didn’t, he can say so on the record and explain what he did say. So far, he has done neither — which is an odd way to defend students he claims to represent.
