Telangana’s draft electoral rolls were published on August 17 across all 119 Assembly constituencies after the Special Intensive Revision. The Chief Electoral Officer, C. Sudarshan Reddy, said 78.30% of enumeration forms were collected, translating to roughly 2.65 crore entries reflected at this stage, against a pre-revision roll of 3,38,26,448. According to the CEO’s briefing, final publication is slated for October 19.
Voters who do not find their names in the draft can file Form 6 for inclusion during the claims-and-objections window from August 17 to September 16. Corrections or objections to wrongful inclusions can also be filed in this period. Notices seeking clarification are being issued and disposal is to run through October 15, per the CEO’s account.
One widely repeated number — about 21% potentially off the rolls — is not a final deletion tally. It comes from pre-publication classifications like absent/shifted, deceased or duplicates, which now face verification. How many names are ultimately restored, corrected or removed will be decided after notices and hearings, not before them.
The voter-service portal lists the SIR-2026 options to search the rolls, download PDFs and file applications online. The CEO Telangana site hosts the statutory forms and explains the update process. The window is open; the consequence of missing it lands on the voter, not on the rhetoric.
