Fauzi loses December; producers keep the mystery
Prabhas’ film was announced for December 3, but producer Y. Ravi Shankar now says the release is being pushed back. No replacement date has been given.
Fauzi’s announced December 3 release date has been pushed back, with no replacement date announced.
Prabhas’ Fauzi has lost its December 3 release date, and the producers have supplied the traditional film-industry explanation: a delay, but no details worth putting on a calendar.
The date was announced in July by Prabhas and Mythri Movie Makers, which promoted a worldwide release on December 3, 2026. At The Paradise pre-release event on September 21, producer Y. Ravi Shankar said Fauzi was “being pushed back a little bit” and described it as a film on a “next level”. He did not announce a new date. [1]
A TeluguCinema.com report, citing unnamed sources, said filming is incomplete and that Prabhas may need more than 60 working days. It also suggested the delay could run for four months. Those claims have not been independently corroborated. Ravi Shankar’s public remarks did not identify the cause — unfinished shooting, visual effects, post-production or scheduling — so the reason remains undisclosed.
For now, Fauzi has a confirmed old date, an unconfirmed new one and a producer asking audiences to wait. The calendar, unlike the poster, has moved on.
