T. Harish Rao has publicly demanded an apology from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy — but for remarks reported on July 12, not for any alleged comment about engineering graduates. According to a report that quoted Harish Rao directly, he called Revanth’s words “highly objectionable, violent and unbecoming of a chief minister” and said: “He must tender an unconditional public apology to the people of Telangana and the farming community.” The BJP-led Centre is not the target here; this dispute is squarely inside Telangana politics, and the Congress chief minister is the one asked to answer.
A separate claim circulating that Revanth called engineering graduates a “criminal waste” does not have a primary-source record — no video, transcript or official post located — and cannot be reported as fact. Without the original wording, date and context, it stays an allegation someone else wrote down. If the Congress side has a clarification, it can post the tape. Until then, the only verified demand for apology is the one Harish Rao made on the farming-remarks row, on the record.
