JSP tours Telangana. Agenda: find an agenda

Jana Sena’s Telangana unit has a constituency-level tour pencilled in — Karimnagar this morning, Peddapalli this evening — to “strengthen the organisation” ahead of local-body polls, according to a schedule a report attributes to the party’s state office. The Congress and BJP will discover their interest in Telangana as soon as someone else does the groundwork.

A Telangana constituency map lies on a campaign-planning desk, with a small party vehicle travelling along a marked route from Karimnagar to Peddapalli while two much larger empty vehicles sit beside untouched piles of paperwork.

A constituency tour schedule lists Karimnagar and Peddapalli among its Telangana stops.

Jana Sena plans a parliamentary-constituency tour in Telangana for local-body poll prep — ZPTC, MPTC and corporation elections — and to meet cadres, review local issues and discuss strategy, according to a report citing a schedule announced by the party’s state office. On the list: Karimnagar this morning and Peddapalli this evening, with other stops through August, and a first-round meeting in Khammam said to be completed. The three GHMC Lok Sabha seats are to get “special meetings” after 13 constituency tours. (Source below.)

What the report does not carry: venues, named speakers, timings beyond “morning/evening”, or any primary document from Jana Sena. It also does not establish whether the Karimnagar or Peddapalli meetings actually happen today.

For Telangana, a smaller party bothering to organise at the constituency level is at least somebody doing the boring work the Congress shouts over and the BJP parachutes past. If it materialises on the ground, it will still be one meeting ahead of the TDP in Telangana — which is where it usually is, on the road to somewhere else.
