Kavitha says Harish plotting BRS takeover
She alleges BJP links, hush meets and a Medak whip count — but shows no documents. The Congress-run state government and the BJP are welcome to deny it on the record any time; neither has.

K. Kavitha on Tuesday accused senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao of “conspiring to take control of the BRS” and trying to block KCR’s political legacy from passing to KTR. The remarks were reported from a media interaction in Banjara Hills on August 27, 2026. According to those reports, she also called him a “double shooter, not a troubleshooter” — a line she used in 2025 as well.
Kavitha alleged Harish Rao held discussions with unnamed BRS MLAs from Medak, maintained links with the BJP, and “frequently” met a senior BJP leader at Raj Pushpa Villas in Hyderabad. She further claimed a secret London meeting involving Harish Rao and another political figure, promising to release details in phases. None of the MLAs or interlocutors were named in the material reviewed, and the reports carry no documents, call logs, travel records or photographs to support the claims.
An All India Radio Hyderabad bulletin dated September 3, 2025 records similar accusations by Kavitha — that Harish Rao and former BRS MP J. Santosh Kumar were conspiring to seize the BRS and that their groups were aligned with both the BJP and the Congress. The fresh reports do not establish whether Tuesday’s charge is new evidence or a rerun; they only confirm she said it again.
What is on record today is the allegation, not proof of it. The BJP-led Centre and the Congress government in Telangana have not bothered to answer the specific claims Kavitha makes about their supposed links to any such plan. Harish Rao and the BRS have not issued a public response in the reports reviewed. If there is evidence, it has not been put in public; if there is a denial, neither the BJP nor the Congress has risked saying it out loud.
