Krishank arrested on October 6; court rejects police remand
A Congress complaint became a police case on October 5, an arrest the next day and a failed custody request soon after. The FIRs and court order remain out of public view.
The arrest moved faster than the paperwork.
A Congress complaint about allegations involving Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s family became a police case on October 5, an arrest on October 6 and a rejected remand request soon after. The Telangana government has managed to compress an entire law-and-order drama into roughly 24 hours. The paperwork, less impressively, is still not public.
Mettu Sai Kumar, identified in reports as a Congress leader and chairman of the TPCC Fishermen Congress Committee, complained to Hyderabad police about material concerning Revanth Reddy’s daughter, Naimisha/Nymisha Reddy. The complaint asked police to verify alleged links to properties and pharmaceutical companies and act if the material was false or fabricated. Hyderabad Cyber Crimes police reportedly registered a case naming BRS leader Manne Krishank, MR Media Telangana and others under BNS Sections 353(2) and 352. The FIR itself has not been published.
Gopalapuram police arrested Krishank on October 6, took him for a medical examination at Gandhi Hospital and produced him before a Secunderabad court. The court rejected the police request for remand and later reportedly granted him bail. The exact reasoning and conditions are not public. Defence lawyers argued that he was arrested without notice and that a fresh case was improper because a Cyber Crimes case on the same issue was already pending. Those are defence submissions, not judicial findings.
The underlying claims about businesses, properties or pharmaceutical links remain allegations. Nothing in the reported record establishes either that those links were improper or that Krishank’s claims were false. The Congress government in Telangana has not published the FIRs, the complaint or the remand order, leaving the public to admire the arrest while being denied the documents that might explain it. This is not transparent administration; it is power operating first and explaining itself later.
