KTR accuses Revanth Reddy of dodging Centre, targeting BRS instead

BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of going after the BRS instead of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Centre, speaking at a Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi Vibhagam (BRSV) protest in Hyderabad over the police crackdown on students protesting in Delhi, according to Telangana Today.
KTR said he could not understand "why the Youth Congress obstructed my car when I was extending solidarity to youngsters protesting against the Central government," and asked why the Congress and Revanth Reddy were "uncomfortable with the BRS taking on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led Central government."
He also said Revanth Reddy was "attempting to divert the students' agitation by making baseless allegations" linking KTR to the paper-leak controversy. What exactly the Chief Minister alleged, and when, was not stated in the report, and Telangana Today's account does not carry any remarks from Revanth Reddy or his office.
KTR contrasted the Chief Minister's absence from Delhi with protests there by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Mahesh Kumar Goud, who demonstrated at Lok Bhavan. Rahul Gandhi has separately and publicly accused the Centre of failing to act against Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG paper leak, a protest independently reported by other outlets.
The Delhi protests followed the cancellation of the NEET-UG exam, held on 3 May 2026 for more than 2.27 million candidates, after investigations found overlaps between a circulated guess paper and the actual question paper. Delhi Police have registered five FIRs after clashes between protesters and security forces there.
Neither Revanth Reddy nor the Congress has publicly responded to KTR's specific charges — the car obstruction claim or the allegation of diversion — as of this report.
