MGM Hospital ceiling falls; questions meet Gate No. 4
Former BRS MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar alleges police manhandled him during a visit after the Warangal hospital incident. The claim remains unverified.

A ceiling section at Warangal’s MGM Hospital fell on September 20, injuring people in the Aarogyasri ward. Reports put the number at three and six respectively, while hospital authorities said the injuries were minor and the affected ward was vacated. The hospital superintendent attributed the incident to water seepage in the old building.
Former BRS MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar later alleged that police stopped him and BRS activists at Gate No. 4 on September 22, pushed and shoved them, and hit him. He also alleged that BRSV leader Bairapaka Prashanth was throttled. The account has not been independently verified: no police version, CCTV footage, FIR or medical record was found. A separate delegation was reportedly stopped from inspecting wards on September 21.
The hospital’s crumbling ceiling is documented. The alleged assault is not. The Telangana government and Warangal police have not publicly answered the claims in the material reviewed. At MGM, even reaching the ward appears to require clearing a security checkpoint before anyone can inspect the roof.
