Mirzapur crosses ₹200 crore, trackers disagree

The Prime Video franchise has made the theatrical jump, but the box-office arithmetic remains a work in progress.

A cartoon outside a multiplex shows a ₹200-crore film-reel box beyond a milestone, surrounded by mismatched scales labelled with box-office tracker names and loose decimal digits.

The film has crossed the milestone; the exact total remains an estimate.

Mirzapur: The Movie has crossed ₹200 crore net in India, according to several trade trackers. The exact total, naturally, has not managed the same feat of consistency.

India Today, citing Sacnilk, reported ₹203.20 crore after 14 days and a worldwide total of ₹291.89 crore. Sacnilk’s own Day 15 estimate put the India net at ₹206.20 crore. Other trackers placed the figure between ₹203.94 crore and ₹204.96 crore, while Bollywood Hungama listed ₹198.68 crore and warned that its number was approximate. No audited producer, exhibitor or industry-body filing confirming any of these figures was located.

Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment released the film on September 4, taking the franchise from Prime Video to cinemas. Amazon describes it as that move “from streaming to the big screen”. Sacnilk’s Day 13 language split also listed about ₹198.40 crore from the Hindi version and ₹1.05 crore from the Telugu version. So the milestone is credible as a trade-estimate story; the decimal places are still auditioning.
