Konda Sushmitha on Monday said she will contest the next Assembly election from Parkal — as an independent if the Congress denies her a ticket — and challenged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to have sitting MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy resign now and come campaign for him. “Make him quit now, you campaign, I’ll still win,” she said at a public event in Parkal on 19 August. The remarks were carried in a report with embedded video posts. According to the same report, she questioned why the Chief Minister was seen as personally deciding tickets when party tickets are formally a leadership call.
Sushmitha is the daughter of minister Konda Surekha, a Congress MLA from Warangal East; Revanth Reddy is the CM and MLA from Kodangal — both posts confirmed on the state’s official portal. The Parkal claim is not new: reports earlier this year recorded her intent to run from the segment.
She also alleged a ₹200‑crore land “scam” involving the Chief Minister’s younger brother, and said she would “expose all scams” if the CM responded. These are her allegations. No land record, case document, or official inquiry supporting them was located in the material reviewed, and no public response from the Chief Minister or the brother to the 19 August charge was found.
This is the Congress government in Telangana eating its own lunch in public while telling voters dinner will be unity. The BJP and TDP are spectators here; the mess is home‑made, and the Chief Minister has been dared to own it in Parkal, not in a press release.
