Rajendranagar Congress faces a pink-scarf problem
Multiple reports say six local figures joined the BRS at a September 27 event attended by K.T. Rama Rao. The full list and current political status of the entrants remain unpublished.
Reports of a Rajendranagar party switch have circulated without a complete entrant list or official response.
Six local figures, including former Ranga Reddy district Congress vice-president B. Sai Reddy, reportedly joined the BRS at a Rajendranagar event on September 27 attended by K.T. Rama Rao. The reports describe B. Raju, Yalala Naresh, Papalal Singh, Jaihind Rao and Yalala Lavanya as former or current local-body figures, alongside “others”.
The event was held at a BRS office under Rajendranagar in-charge Patlolla Karthik Reddy, according to multiple reports. KTR reportedly welcomed the entrants with pink scarves and asked them to strengthen the party. Reports also attributed pro-BRS remarks to Sabitha Indra Reddy and Karthik Reddy, but no verified transcript or official BRS release was available.
The political meaning should not be inflated beyond the record. The reports do not give a complete entrant list, confirm the current party status of every person named, establish Ms Lavanya’s present councillor status or include a Congress response. The Congress has not publicly answered the reported switch. Its local organisation now has a pink-scarf event to explain, and no complete attendance sheet to hide behind.
