Revanth gives Owaisi a patriotism certificate
The Telangana chief minister praised Asaduddin and Akbaruddin Owaisi at a Hyderabad event. Bandi Sanjay replied with questions, allegations and a school of patriotism.
A Hyderabad event becomes a stage for competing patriotism certificates.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy praised AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi and his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi at a Hyderabad public event on Thursday, September 3, saying political ideologies may differ but patriotism unites them.
Revanth said nobody could doubt the Owaisi brothers’ patriotism and described Asaduddin Owaisi, while speaking responsibly as chief minister, as “no less than PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah” on the subject. He also referred to Owaisi’s participation in a rally supporting Indian soldiers during Operation Sindoor. (New Indian Express; NDTV)
Owaisi said AIMIM was supporting Revanth personally, not the Congress as a party. On Friday, BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar attacked the remarks on X, asking whether alleged AIMIM positions on Vande Mataram, Article 370 and the Citizenship Amendment Act amounted to patriotism. He also invoked Akbaruddin Owaisi’s 2013 “15 minutes” speech. Those are Bandi’s political claims; the supplied material does not independently establish them. (NDTV Profit; Siasat)
Revanth Reddy, the Congress and AIMIM have not publicly responded to Bandi Sanjay’s criticism in the material reviewed. The BJP’s certificate-counter-certificate season is now underway; Telangana’s flyover was merely the venue.
