The Paradise brings Godavarikhani to the braid

Director Srikanth Odela says The Paradise grew from a distinctly Telangana set of memories: Godavarikhani, incidents from the Adilabad–Godavarikhani belt and the Secunderabad railway quarters. The film, starring Nani and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under SLV Cinemas, is scheduled for worldwide release on September 24, 2026.

Odela said the film combines real incidents, characters and fiction. He also linked its braided-hair element to his childhood, recalling that his mother dressed him in gowns and braided his hair until the second standard. The protagonist’s hairstyle, then, has more history behind it than the usual pre-release styling note.

He said the film’s “revolution” and some characters were inspired by Godavarikhani, where he was born and raised, while incidents from between Adilabad and Godavarikhani connected with his experience of living in Secunderabad railway quarters. The underlying incidents have not been independently verified, and the film’s exact setting and period have not been publicly established. That mystery can remain until September 24; the publicity machinery has already done its part.
