The Paradise has three box-office totals and no audit
Makers claimed ₹136 crore in three days; trackers later reported ₹159.50 crore and ₹173.24 crore. The reported ₹200 crore break-even line remains an estimate.
The film’s reported totals vary; no audited account has been made public.
The Paradise has managed a rare box-office trick: one film, several totals, and no public account showing which one should be believed.
A poster from the makers, reported by Cinema Express on September 27, claimed ₹136 crore worldwide after three days and declared, “It is JADAL ZAMANA at the box office.” That is a promotional claim, not an audited settlement. The same report identified Srikanth Odela as director, Nani as the lead and Sudhakar Cherukuri’s Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas as producer. The film released theatrically on September 24, 2026, with paid premieres beginning the previous day, according to Sacnilk.
The later numbers do not line up neatly. Box Office Worldwide reported that the film had “wrapped its run” at ₹159.50 crore worldwide on October 14. Sacnilk’s tracker, updated October 19, listed ₹173.24 crore worldwide, including ₹142.09 crore from India and ₹31.15 crore overseas. Neither source publishes producer-certified accounts, distributor settlements or an audit explaining the gap. The unverified ₹173.66 crore figure sometimes repeated elsewhere cannot be established from the available record and should not be treated as fact.
The reported break-even line is similarly built from trade estimates. Sacnilk said the film needed a worldwide share above ₹105 crore—roughly ₹200 crore gross—to be called a hit. TV9 Telugu reported theatrical business of about ₹103 crore and said ₹200 crore gross would be required if that figure was true. NTV Telugu and Asianet News Telugu carried the same broad target. The contracts, regional advances, taxes, exhibitor terms and non-theatrical accounting remain unpublished.
So the public record establishes a promotional claim, two tracker estimates and a reported target—not a reliable commercial verdict. The industry has supplied plenty of arithmetic. It has not supplied the accounts.
