Hyderabad’s Special Intensive Revision is in motion, and the Election Commission’s own order says what follows the draft roll is simple: if your record couldn’t be linked to the last revision, or the linkage has discrepancies, the ERO issues you a notice to fix it. That is on the record, not spin. According to the ECI’s May 14 instruction, those notice lists are to be put up at local offices and on the CEO and DEO websites.
A report says Hyderabad has 5,80,908 “no-mapping” voters and 6,72,678 with anomalies — a combined 12.53 lakh who “will get notices”. Treat that as the report’s claim until the CEO or DEO publishes the district’s list and numbers. The ECI document confirms the notice mechanism and its timing after the draft roll — not the Hyderabad totals.
What is confirmed today: the ECI’s voter portal shows “Special Intensive Revision (SIR) – 2026” and a “Submit Document Against Notice issued” function. If you think you’re in the bucket, log in and check; arguing with a rumour beats discovering a missing vote on polling day exactly never.
Hyderabad’s earlier SIR schedule, given by the District Election Officer, set draft rolls for July 31 and final rolls for October 1. The CEO has already said Form 6 from August 1 is the route back if your name doesn’t show in the draft.
What is missing is what the ECI itself says must exist: the published notice lists and the official Hyderabad counts. The BJP-led Centre didn’t build this confusion, but it has spent ten years treating institutions like props; the Congress can spare us the theatre and have its governments put the lists up where the ECI told them to. In the meantime, the portal works; use it.
