Telangana’s Special Intensive Revision schedule has shifted — again, on the Election Commission’s timeline. After house-to-house verification wrapped on August 3, the draft electoral roll is now due on August 10, with claims and objections open till September 9 and disposals running to October 8. The final roll is slated for October 12, per the revised plan recorded this month.
The scale is not small: the ECI’s own Phase III note pegs Telangana at 3,39,20,705 electors, with 35,985 Booth Level Officers and 25,886 party Booth Level Agents involved. That is the machinery that was supposed to put an enumeration form in every voter’s hand.
Where the form didn’t land — especially in urban pockets with address mix-ups the CEO has acknowledged — voters aren’t locked out. Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy said those missing in the draft “need not worry”: submit Form 6 from August 1 (online at voters.eci.gov.in or offline) and get processed during the claims window.
Two basics for anyone seeing rumours of “mass deletions”: the draft isn’t out till August 10, and absence from the draft can be fixed by Form 6 during claims, as the CEO has said. Save the panic for when numbers, not forwards, show up.
