A cinema-theatre entrance styled as a mysterious door marked ‘418’ remains locked, with a dangling key and an empty release-date board outside; film-production objects sit behind the glass.

The release date for 418 The Film remains to be announced.

Mythri Movie Makers’ Telugu horror project 418 The Film — written and directed by Kirtan Nadagouda and presented by Prashanth Neel — was announced for a July 31, 2026 “grand release.” The makers have since said it will not open on that date and promised a new date “soon.” According to the July 19 post reproduced in coverage, the credit line stayed clear: produced by Mythri, directed by Nadagouda, presented by Neel. No plot was disclosed. [Source: TeluguMirchi; Hollywood Reporter India]

The first wobble arrived on July 25: the trailer, due that day, was pulled with a note about opening “the right door at the right time.” Three days later, the release itself moved. “418 The Film will not be releasing on July 31st,” the team said, offering no reason and no replacement date. What we know: principal photography was said to be complete and the film in post when the July 31 plan was announced; leads named include Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju and Preethi Pagadala; music by Venky GG, cinematography by Dinesh Divakaran, production design by Ullas Hydur/Hydoor — all per announcement coverage. What we don’t: a new date, a synopsis, certification, runtime, or screen plan. Until Mythri names a day, this one stays behind the door it spent a week hyping.
