Ajith Kumar’s racing documentary Gladiators took its special trailer to selected theatres in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on September 6, rather than settling for the usual online upload and a few promotional hashtags.
The 6:40 p.m. screening was announced in a post attributed to Suresh Chandra. The project is directed by Vijay, produced by Shalini Ajith Kumar under Golden Trophy Film Production LLP, and has music by G.V. Prakash Kumar. Its promotional title is “Gladiators – In Pursuit of Challenges”.
Cinema Express later reported that the trailer had screened theatrically and ran for more than three minutes. It also reported a U/A 13 certification, though no official Central Board of Film Certification certificate or certificate number was located. The full documentary’s runtime, release date, theatre list and distribution partner remain unconfirmed. For now, Gladiators has established one thing: its trailer reached cinemas before the film’s release details did.
