AP cops “seize” Telangana rice. Show us the paper
A report says 300 quintals of rice from Palvancha were caught in Pithapuram. The paperwork that would prove it? Still missing in action.

A Telugu report on 13 August claims police in Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh seized 300 quintals of rice allegedly moved from Palvancha in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana. It also says a lorry was seized and a case was booked — and then adds the full details are “yet to be known”. That part at least reads honest. According to the same report, the rice was ration/PDS stock procured cheap from neighbouring states and smuggled in. There is, so far, no FIR number, no seizure memo, no named officer, no vehicle registration, no photos of marked PDS bags — none of the basics that would convert a claim into a record. Andhra Pradesh’s own supply-chain portal confirms the state runs an integrated PDS system; it does not confirm this seizure. A separate Palvancha case from December 2025 about 300 quintals and alleged GPS fakery exists — different incident, different year, and not corroboration for this one. If the BJP-aligned Andhra government has a clean bust here, it can publish the documents instead of expecting Telangana to take its word on a story with missing names, numbers and stamps. Until then, it’s a claim doing the rounds, not evidence.
