Apple has announced its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, nearly two decades after the original iPhone made rectangular glass fashionable. The company says the Duo has a 7.6-inch inner display, a 5.4-inch outer display, an A20 Pro chip and iOS 27.1. It starts at $1,999 in the US and goes on sale there on October 23. India is listed for pre-orders from October 16, but Apple has not published an India price in the material reviewed.

Apple also announced the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, with a 48MP main camera, variable aperture and A20 Pro chip. They start at $1,199 and $1,299 in the US, with sales from September 18. AirPods 5, priced from $129, add open-ear active noise cancellation; Apple says its testing found 50% more external-noise reduction than AirPods 4 with ANC. The company also announced Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, starting at $399 and $799.

The performance claims remain Apple’s claims. Independent durability, hinge, battery, ANC and heart-rate testing was not available in the sources reviewed. The foldable arrives in India before its price does, which is one way to keep the suspense alive.
