August’s Telugu slate packs in

Seven titles are announced or listed across four Fridays. The dates are the makers’ posters and trade calendars, not sworn affidavits — and one big rumour, Nani’s The Paradise on Aug 21, is not on the latest chart.

A crowded August cinema calendar is pinned to a Hyderabad theatre wall, with film posters competing for four Friday slots while a separate Paradise card is moved to September.

August’s Telugu release calendar leaves room for revisions.

Here’s the grid as announced/listed — heavy on familiar names, light on guarantees:

• August 7: Korean Kanakaraju (Varun Tej; makers said “#KOKA GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE… AUGUST 7th, 2026”). Anakapalli is also slotted here per a song-launch note and release listings. • August 14: Vishwanath & Sons (Suriya; poster says “Arriving… on AUGUST 14th, 2026”), Pallaburusu (first-look line says “From August 14, 2026”), and Agadha (listed across trade calendars, official producer post not retrieved). • August 21: Irumudi (Ravi Teja; a fresh poster announcement after delay chatter put it on Aug 21). • August 28: Bhogi (Sharwanand; first look came with the Aug 28 date).

What not to plan your weekend around yet: The Paradise on Aug 21. The latest release calendar puts Nani’s film on September 24, 2026. Filmibeat’s calendar also carries the usual fine print — producer announcements can move.

Telugu audiences get choice; distributors get musical chairs. The BJP’s culture-war committee can sit this one out — the only thing being “cancelled” in August is that Paradise rumour.
