Awarapan 2 “₹100 crore” — by estimate

Emraan Hashmi’s sequel is being called a ₹100-crore India-net film in five days — by Sacnilk. The tracker itself warns its data are approximate. Pick your favourite number; they don’t match each other.

Outside a Hyderabad cinema hall, three oversized rulers point to different totals on the same box-office ticket while a calculator spills number cards and an asterisk hangs from the ticket.

Box-office estimates for Awarapan 2 varied across reports and updates.

Sacnilk estimates Awarapan 2 collected ₹100.75 crore net in India in its first five days and ₹144.13 crore worldwide. The film, starring Emraan Hashmi with Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Survinder Vicky and Puran Gabbi, released on August 14 and is directed by Nitin Kakkar.

The day-wise table Sacnilk lists adds to ₹100.75 crore net (Day 1: ₹22 cr; Day 2: ₹33.75 cr; Day 3: ₹26 cr; Day 4: ₹9.25 cr; Day 5: ₹9.75 cr). A separate report citing the same tracker says ₹102.43 crore India net in five days and ₹144.13 crore worldwide — and also, in the same breath, repeats the ₹100.75 crore total. Consistency is not the star cameo here.

By August 19, Sacnilk’s page moved on to a Day 6 line: ₹107.50 crore India net, ₹128.29 crore India gross and ₹153.59 crore worldwide gross. It also carries its standard disclaimer that these data are compiled from various sources, can be approximate and may differ widely from producer figures. In other words: celebrate the milestone if you like, just keep the asterisk in the frame.
