Trade coverage on Friday said Chennai Love Story opened to a worldwide gross of ₹12.3 crore including Thursday premieres, and called it Kiran Abbavaram’s biggest opening to date. The figure was attributed to a “latest update” and follows an “official update” pegging premieres at ₹3.13 crore.
Independent trackers list lower estimates. One widely cited tracker put day-one India net at ₹4.95 crore, India gross at ₹5.69 crore, overseas gross at ₹2.60 crore and worldwide gross at ₹8.29 crore, noting its data are approximate and may differ from producer numbers.
