Chiranjeevi’s next with Bobby Kolli now has a name: Kaaka. The title and a first glimpse dropped on August 22, his birthday, with the promo introducing him as “Supervisor Satyam, C/O Ammaji Aqua Industries, Ravulapalem.” That phrasing comes straight from the director’s post welcoming audiences to “the world of #KAAKA.”
The makers have staked out Sankranthi, announcing a theatrical release on January 13, 2027. Treat that as a plan until tickets exist; it is a date the production picked, not a certification notice. For now, the teaser is doing the talking: an aqua yard, a refused leave request with “the target is the festival,” scooter keys, a magnet, guns from the water, and a later cut to a younger, sleeker Chiranjeevi firing away. Two contrasting avatars are suggested by the promo; nobody has said “dual role.”
Bobby Kolli directs; Venkat K Narayana produces under KVN Productions, which bills this as its Telugu venture. Credits named in the reports include S Thaman (music), Vijay Kartik Kannan (cinematography) and editor Antony L Ruben, with writing by Kona Venkat, K Chakravarthy Reddy, Hari Mohana Krishna and Vineeth Potluri; Bhanu–Nandu are credited with dialogues by one trade report. It is Sankranthi, so expect the usual chest-thumping from national parties about “culture” when the work is already happening here — without a speech from Delhi. The promo introduced Satyam; the box office will introduce the noise to reality.
