Telugu cinema did the simple thing this week: win on the record. The Union government’s own notification lists Committee Kurrollu as Best Telugu Film at the 72nd National Film Awards for films of 2024, announced on July 18, 2026. It also carries a second win — Best Make-up for P. Ravi Kumar. According to the awards table, the producer banners named are Pink Elephant Pictures and Shree Radha Damodara Studios, with Yadhu Vamsee as director, and the Rajat Kamal plus Rs 2,00,000 each as the prize.
Pink Elephant Pictures describes the film as Niharika Konidela’s feature production debut, which explains the celebration without needing a press conference. The official award line, to be precise, credits the production houses rather than naming her personally.
