Sri Venkateswara Creations has picked up Andhra Pradesh and Telangana distribution rights for Yash’s upcoming Toxic, with Dil Raju publicly pegging the deal at ₹120 crore on an advance-commission basis, according to a report that quoted him directly. Asked if the figure was a stunt, Raju said he’d share his bank statement “once I transfer the money”. Proof, in other words, after the promo tour.
Trade chatter in Telugu outlets says exhibitors are racing to give Toxic the “highest number of screens”, and that big buyers are “locking” a majority of single screens and multiplexes. None of that came with a theatre list, a contract, or a named exhibitor on the record. The two Telugu titles said to be affected — Vishwanath and Sons and Irumudi — are not quoted anywhere complaining about lost shows.
What is on the record is older: Telugu exhibitors and producers have been fighting over rentals versus revenue share since at least mid-2025, serious enough for Andhra Pradesh’s cinematography minister to order a probe into a proposed shutdown and even ask whether a cartel was at work. That was a direction to investigate, not a verdict. The screen-allocation math for Toxic in Telangana and AP is still not published. Until it is, the only confirmed number here is ₹120 crore — and even that waits on the bank slip Raju promised.
