Hyderabad on screen, August 21
Ameer Log locks its Telugu release with Spirit Media on board; the team promises a basti-rooted Hyderabad story and drops a Rahul Sipligunj track. The politics? For once, not from Delhi — which is already an improvement.
Ameer Log is scheduled for a Telugu theatrical release on August 21.
Ameer Log is scheduled to hit Telugu theatres on August 21, according to a release-event report that also introduced its first song, Awwal Dawath. Director Ramana Reddy Soma and producer Madhavi Reddy Soma lead the Awwal Number Productions film, with Spirit Media presenting the Telugu release. MC Hari, Manoj and Sasidhar star alongside Vedha Jalandhar, Raavan Nitturu, Vishwender Reddy and Saiyogi. (Source: the release-announcement coverage.)
The makers are selling it as a Hyderabad-neighbourhood story — bastis, relationships and Deccani flavour — with lyricist Manoj Kumar calling out writing in Deccani and music director Smaran Sai praising the city focus. Those are the team’s pitches, not an audit of authenticity; the film will do its own talking on August 21.
Spirit Media’s role in releasing the film in the Telugu states was reported earlier this month, describing it as the project’s distribution partner. The release-event note says Spirit Media is presenting the August 21 opening.
Awwal Dawath, sung by Rahul Sipligunj with credits to Smaran Sai and Manoj Kumar Juloori, is listed on music platforms dated January 7, 2026. Promotional chatter calls it “trending”; treat that as marketing until the box office and streams are on the record.
No screen counts, certification or a full synopsis were published in the material consulted. If the film puts Hyderabad’s real streets up front, that’s Telangana doing what Delhi’s culture talk never manages: showing up on screen without needing clearance from a national party’s storyline.
