Ravi Teja’s Irumudi — directed by Shiva Nirvana for Mythri Movie Makers — is still being sold for August 21 in theatres. That is not trade whisper; it is what the makers and the lead have posted themselves, twice over. According to reports reproducing the captions, Mythri’s June 7 line read “#IRUMUDI / #IRUMUDIKATTU in cinemas from August 21st, 2026,” and a July 28 poster said the “father-daughter story” lands “in 25 days.” Ravi Teja followed on June 29 while plugging the first single: “In cinemas from August 21st.”
A trade item last month said rumours were doing the rounds about a delay, and that the new poster was the reply. The rumours, however, arrived with no author and left the same way. No censor note, booking grid or distributor schedule was published alongside the date — if those exist, the makers haven’t put them out yet.
Cast on the record so far: Ravi Teja with Priya Bhavani Shankar; music by GV Prakash Kumar; produced by Mythri. Telangana audiences can mark August 21 on the calendar — pencil, not pen, until the tickets open. The Congress-BJP-TDP routine of promising without paperwork is their brand; the film business at least prints posters when it means a date.
