January 12 Vidudala. Title and date, settled
Venkatesh–Kalyan Ram team-up with Anil Ravipudi plants its flag on Sankranthi 2027 — the makers say January 12, worldwide.
The makers have announced a worldwide theatrical release for January 12, 2027.
Telugu cinema booked Sankranthi early. The Venkatesh Daggubati–Nandamuri Kalyan Ram film with writer-director Anil Ravipudi now has a title — January 12 Vidudala — and, as the name suggests, a date: a worldwide theatrical release on January 12, 2027. That is the makers’ own announcement, paired with a title-reveal promo.
Shine Screens, producer Sahu Garapati’s banner, said “#January12Vidudala Grand Release worldwide for SANKRANTHI on JANUARY 12th 2027.” The promo features Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty and tags Suresh Productions, Smt. Archana and Zee Studios as presenters. Reported technical credits list GV Prakash Kumar (music), Sameer Reddy (cinematography), Tammiraju (editing) and AS Prakash (production design).
The tagline “Bava Bammardi Soujanyamtho” is doing the rounds with nods to EVV Satyanarayana’s Appula Appa Rao. Reports also read it as a hint at the leads’ relationship; the makers have not issued a plot note to confirm that. Beyond the date and the names on the poster, nothing else is locked in public: no synopsis, no schedule, no runtime, no business claims.
For once, the only “historic” bit is the calendar — and that one is on the record, from the people making it.
