Trade trackers publish different estimates for Lenin’s box-office total.
Filmibeat says Lenin hit ₹64.96 crore worldwide by July 24 — its box-office panel repeats the figure, even as another field on the same page still reads “Box Office | TBA.” According to that page, India net stood at ₹47.27 crore and overseas at ₹10.75 crore, with the worldwide total at ₹64.96 crore. The site also pegs the “third Sunday” take at ₹0.64 crore, while time-stamping the update on Monday, July 27. The arithmetic may add up; the calendar does not.
Independent trackers paint the same picture in broader strokes, not the same number. Sacnilk lists ₹66.25 crore worldwide with ₹55.50 crore India gross after Day 17, and warns its data are approximate. TrackTollywood’s live table shows ₹51.96 crore India gross by July 27 and labels its figures as estimates aggregated from ticketing platforms. Neither publishes the producer’s settlement or a methodology that would settle the dispute.
The one on-record claim is from producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi: he posted that Lenin crossed ₹61 crore worldwide after three days and said distributors had recovered costs by the first weekend. That’s a victory lap with an author. The later ₹64.96-crore total is Filmibeat’s estimate, not a filing.
So yes: Akhil’s film is moving tickets. Just don’t confuse “live estimates” for audited accounts — that habit is for Delhi’s parties when they write budgets on vibes and then pass the bill to the states.
