The makers of Mahakali put out a nearly three‑minute glimpse titled “Shukracharya’s War Cry” on August 24, introducing Akshaye Khanna as the Asuras’ guru and planting a flag on January 8, 2027 for a theatrical release. That date and the title come from the production’s own material and the trade notes that carried it.
The credit slate says: created by Prasanth Varma, directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru, presented by RK Duggal, produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal for RKD Studios. The video leans into Dharma–Adharma stakes and the Devas–Asuras conflict, with Sriya Reddy appearing in a goddess‑adjacent avatar; the footage does not settle who plays Mahakali, and the reports disagree.
