Mahesh to fans: back the debutants
Superstar posts a video urging support for nephew Jaya/Jai Krishna and Rasha Thadani ahead of Srinivasa Mangapuram’s July 30 release. The family push arrives on the same date Mahesh says his own debut opened — a detail he credits to Dutt garu’s planning, with a smile.
Srinivasa Mangapuram is scheduled for release on July 30.
Mahesh Babu on July 26 asked his fans — and his late father Krishna’s fans — to show up for two first-timers: nephew Jaya/Jai Krishna Ghattamaneni and Rasha Thadani, who headline Ajay Bhupathi’s Srinivasa Mangapuram. His X post wished the team “the very best for July 30th,” and carried a video message asking fans to support the newcomers. According to a report carrying the video, Mahesh also praised GV Prakash Kumar’s music and singled out the track Allele.
The release date — July 30, 2026 — was announced by the makers earlier this month. Coverage identifies this as Jaya/Jai Krishna’s acting debut and Rasha Thadani’s Telugu debut, with Chandamama Kathalu Pictures attached on the production side.
On event chatter: at the July 12 trailer launch, a report said Jaya Krishna told the crowd Mahesh would attend the pre-release event as chief guest. A later report on July 26 noted there had been no official confirmation yet. Until an actual invite or stage photo exists, that stays in the maybe pile.
Telugu cinema doesn’t need Delhi’s permission slip to back its own. The fans will decide this one on Thursday, not a panel in the BJP’s culture ministry.
