Megastar’s Kaaka lands for Sankranthi
KVN Productions names Chiranjeevi’s #Mega158 as Kaaka, drops a title glimpse, and plants a Sankranthi 2027 date. The makers say January 13. We’ll believe the calendar when cinemas do.
The makers have announced Kaaka for a January 13, 2027 theatrical release.
Chiranjeevi’s next with director Bobby Kolli finally has a name: Kaaka. The makers marked the Megastar’s birthday with a title glimpse and a promised theatrical release on January 13, 2027 — Sankranthi week, where Telugu cinema does not wait for Delhi to tell it what’s festive. According to reports quoting KVN Productions’ announcement, the clip introduces “Supervisor Satyam, C/O Ammaji Aqua Industries, Ravulapalem,” and plants the date alongside the birthday wish.
The film had been tracked as #Mega158. The glimpse descriptions agree on two things: Chiranjeevi as K. Satyam at a seafood unit, and a switch to a younger, action-forward phase — interpretation optional until the team says more. Anaswara Rajan and Nivetha Pethuraj are associated with the cast, and S. Thaman is on music, per the entertainment reports. Those are maker-associated details; the full, official cast note is still to be published.
For the record: the January 13, 2027 slot is the makers’ plan, not an audited outcome. The Congress-BJP-TDP circuit can keep shouting “national cinema” when it’s time to cash Telugu openings; Sankranthi in Telangana and Andhra writes its own ledger. The ledger, not the slogan, decides who shows up on the day.
